We've provided high-quality summer housing to snowbird guests for over 20 years. Many guests return to us each year.
Summer 2024
Applications are now open for Summer 2024! Applications will close on February 29, 2024.
May 29-Aug 7
Snowbird guests contract for the entire summer term, May 29 through August 7.
Limited Dining
Limited retail dining will be available during the summer using Phlash Cash or credit.
$2,200
It will cost $2,200 for the summer Snowbird housing term. Upon arrival, payment is due in full.
*Housing rates are estimates. Price reflects the 2024 summer contract cost. A $225 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a space. $175 will be applied to the rent balance upon arrival and $50 will be retained as a lease processing fee.

Smoke Free
All our facilities are smoke-free. Smoking is permitted outdoors, 30-feet from the building.
Wi-Fi & Internet
In addition to Wi-Fi, each unit has high-speed internet wired for each resident.
Streaming TV
Your housing contract includes high-definition cable television. You will need to provide your own TV set.
Free Laundry
Residents have access to free washing machines and dryers.
24/7 Security
Buildings have security card access. Student and professional housing staff are on-call, while university police serve around the clock.
Air Conditioned
Stay cool for the summer. Every room is air conditioned for your comfort.

Additional Provisions
Laundry and mail service are included in your summer apartment. Parking is available nearby, but a summer parking permit is required.
Parking
Parking lots are available nearby with limited disabled spaces. Completing the parking section in the lease agreement automatically registers you for a $45 parking permit per vehicle. You'll pay this fee upon check-in. Disabled parking permits are mandatory in designated areas. All posted signs regarding parking restrictions apply to students and guests during the summer.
Laundry
There is a laundry room on the first or second floor of each building. Each modern laundry room has four washing machines and four dryers. Laundry is included in the cost of rent.
Mail Service
You will be assigned a mailbox for use during your stay. The mailroom is located on the first floor of the Community Center – the building where the office of Housing and Residential Education is located.
Campus Amenities
Snowbird guests have the option to take advantage of other excellent facilities on campus.
Kress Events Center
You can purchase a monthly membership as a community member or as a senior citizen.
Library
Guests are welcome to access all Cofrin Library resources free of charge. Check material out by providing a photo ID and your UW-Green Bay Housing guest card.
Equipment Rental
Rent a canoe, kayak or paddle board from the UREC Outdoor Adventure Center (located in the Shorewood Center). Prefer dry activities? They also rent hammocks and bikes. Staff will help you load equipment onto your car.
Things to do Nearby
There are an abundance of things to do in Green Bay in the summer. And if you want more, beautiful Door County is only a short drive and is a prime resort area with many outdoor recreational opportunities.
Restaurants & Attractions
Brats, beer and cheese curds—just add football—and all the Green Bay basics are covered. Spend some time exploring all we have to offer, and prepare yourself to be surprised and delighted.
- Greater Green Bay Destination Guide - Your source for general Green Bay visitor information.
- The Weidner, a 2,000-seat concert hall which brings in nationally known performers, is located on campus and only a few minute walk from housing.
- Green Bay City Deck - A must-see feature of downtown Green Bay, it's a quarter-mile boardwalk running from the Walnut Street bridge to the Main Street bridge along the river’s east bank.
- Hagemeister Park - This restaurant is right on City Deck, has outdoor seating and often features local, live music.
- Wednesday Night Farmer's Market - This popular event is downtown on Broadway from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. In addition to the general market fare, there is normally a band and several tasty food trucks.
- Titletown District - Across the road from Lambeau Field, Titletown’s park is open to everyone with plenty of outdoor games and activities.
- Titletown Night Market - Spend your Thursday night at Titletown’s Night Market from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. They host new vendors each week, blending Wisconsin culture and fun with food, drinks and shopping.

You never know when an outdoor diversion will crop up. Don't forget your favorite walking shoes!
- UW-Green Bay Cofrin Memorial Arboretum - Welcome to a campus surrounded by a park. Explore 6 miles of walking trails, 290 acres of trees, 45 fellow mammal species and more than 200 kinds of birds right on our Green Bay campus.
- The Fox River Trail - This scenic trail runs along the Fox River from DePere to Downtown Green Bay where it connects to the City Deck.
- Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary - A 700-acre urban wildlife refuge located just minutes from campus is dedicated to the care and well-being of more than 4,500 orphaned or injured animals.
