Campus Cupboard & Clothes Closet

The Campus Cupboard & Clothes Closet is a service through Student Engagement Center with the mission of providing both perishable and non-perishable foods, clothing, cleaning, and personal/hygiene products for all students, faculty, staff at UW-Green Bay to ensure their basic needs are met. The Campus Cupboard is located in Rose Hall 140 (in the corridor section between Wood and Rose Halls).

Donations can be dropped off within RH 140 to the first room on the right (The Donation Room), or in the Student Engagement Center located in the University Union Room 150. Alternatively, donors can email the Campus Cupboard at campuscupboard@uwgb.edu to schedule a time for donation drop-off. Donors may refer to the Items Needed list prior to donating, but the Campus Cupboard accepts donations of all unopened & unexpired food, clothing, and personal hygiene items.

How to use the Campus Cupboard

To gain entry into the Cupboard, all people must swipe their ID at the door. Doing so both unlocks the door and allows us to keep track of how many people are utilizing the service.

Upon entry, all are invited to grab bags as needed, located in the bin on the table to the left of the entryway. 'Shopping' can then be completed following the item limit signs posted throughout the Campus Cupboard. For one or 2 household members you may take one bag of groceries per month, if you are supporting a family of 3 or more you may take 2 bags per month. You may request more by contacting Wyatt Young at youngw@uwgb.edu.

After completing their 'grocery shopping,' it is asked that individuals 'check out' by writing down a list of what items they took on the 'Supply/Inventory Log.' This allows us to keep track of inventory and also see what items are in highest demand. This helps the Student Engagement Center allocate funding towards purchasing the items most needed.

Accessing the Cupboard

The Campus Cupboard is free and available to all UW-Green Bay students, faculty, and staff. To gain entry into the Cupboard, all people must swipe their ID at the door. Doing so both unlocks the door and allows us to keep track of how many people are using the space.

Any difficulties entering the space should be communicated to Wyatt Young, Program Coordinator for the Campus Cupboard, at youngw@uwgb.edu, or to the Cupboard directly at campuscupboard@uwgb.edu.
