Partners
The Cofrin Center for Biodiversity works cooperatively with several institutions, agencies, programs, and nongovernmental organizations on an array of biodiversity related projects.
Partners from outside UW-Green Bay include biologists and policy-makers from public agencies – ranging from the City of Green Bay and Town of Scott to federal agencies like the US Fish & Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, and Environmental Protection Agency.
The Cofrin Center for Biodiversity (CCB) faculty and staff regularly work in partnerships with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff, many of whom are UW-Green Bay alumni, and regional tribal governments, notably the Oneida Nation, located in western Brown County, and the Menominee and Potawatomi Nations in northern Wisconsin.
Other important partnerships, some ongoing, involve private conservation organizations (National Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, The Ridges Sanctuary) and land trusts (Northeastern Wisconsin Land Trust).
Finally, the CCB is committed to ongoing partnerships with scientific researchers from private corporations (e.g., Microsoft) and academic institutions, including the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and universities from around the world.
